From his sister Evie

My dearest brother. I will miss you.

I will miss our weekly chats about nothing in particular and those random calls to share White Castle Hamburgerswhat guilty childhood pleasure we were eating on Saturday mornings (toast-tites, little piggies, White Castle hamburgers). I will miss the EMDB conversations when you needed to know the name of some obscure movie or actor. I will miss eating Tourtiere with you at Christmas, and our lengthy discussions about the right Voice of the Mummy board gameway to make perfect popcorn. I will miss reminiscing over our childhood rivalries which more often than not ended in something being broken and me getting the blame. I will miss our stupid little inside jokes that only we could appreciate (You have angered the gods, take back three jewels).

I will miss how you stuck your tongue out when you were concentrating on something and how you used to furrow your brow and purse your lips to let me know you were annoyed. I will miss how you ended every one of our phone calls with “love you”, and I knew you sincerely meant it. I will miss visiting you and having you play tour guide, even though you had done it a million times. I will miss our travels together as children and adults, and our many discussions about our plans to visit more exciting and exotic destination.

There are so many things I will miss, but most of all, I will miss you, the kind hearted loving man who gave me a sense of peace and security in this world because you were in it with me. You took a part of me with you when you left us, but in its place you have given me such beautiful memories which I will cherish for as long as I live.

I will love you forever big brother.
